Outreach and Education

Our goal is to increase awareness of the potential of and consequences of lead exposure as well as the link between the home environment and health. We will engage in a public campaign including being present in the community and on social media to educate and prevent lead exposure.

 Home Remediation

For residents who qualify, we will perform a home inspection and lead remediation in up to 50 homes.

Training

We support local contractors by ensuring they have the appropriate training to deal with lead and help those without a license in obtaining one. We provide support for contractors to obtain their abatement certification and licenses and lead assessor/inspector training delivered by Alabama SafeState who manages it for the Alabama Department of Public Health.
